Nelia Masengu

Dreamy, minimalistic, new: Nelia Masengu makes music created between Bern, Zurich, and Basel. Her songs, sung in English and French, create a gentle and warm atmosphere. The melodramatic lyrics meet a calm and honest voice that conveys comfort. Her music is characterized by improv sessions with her father, the many evenings in Marian's Jazzroom in Bern, explorations of Black culture and R’nB influences. Since 2021, she performs live with by a band that manages to bring her voice into focus with an unobtrusive sound.
